Arkema

Project Pragati is a joint initiative launched in 2016 by Arkema, BASF, Jayant Agro-Organics, and Solidaridad to promote sustainable castor farming in Gujarat, India. The program has trained thousands of smallholder farmers in best agricultural practices to improve yields, maintain soil fertility, and reduce water consumption while ensuring labor safety and human rights. This cinematic documenatary highlights teh programs effectiveness in impacting the farming community.

Heathy mother, healthy babies.

The film follows Makenge Thethe, a 24-year-old in Bibwa, DRC, nine months pregnant with her third child. Despite hardships, she feels stronger this pregnancy thanks to Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) from Maria Lasako Health Center. The story ends with the healthy birth of her daughter, Mavi, underscoring the value of maternal nutrition.

This documentary follows 22‑year‑old pregnant garment worker Jahanara in Tongi, Bangladesh, depicting long shifts, scarce meals, and heavy home duties that jeopardize maternal and newborn nutrition. It spotlights affordable Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) as an evidence‑based way to prevent deficiencies and improve pregnancy outcomes. Through Jahanara’s resilience, the film urges better maternal health standards, workplace support, and MMS access to protect mothers and children.

Pragati led to the Eranda Scholarship Event, where students showcase innovative models. This testimonial documentary follows Dhuka Moavji from Palanpur, Gujarat, who built a smart irrigation system inspired by his electrician father to help city dwellers manage castor farms remotely. Using coding and Python, Dhuka created a device that irrigates crops remotely, won a prize, and exemplifies Arkema’s scholarship success.

This documentary for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies follows pregnant Shabana and Parveen in Govandi slum, Mumbai, highlighting their financial strain, limited family support, poor health, and the critical role of local healthcare workers who provide education and Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS).

Inclusivity

A comic strip and short film promote inclusivity among children. Tara, a schoolgirl on crutches, is excluded from a Jog Falls trip because of 1,500 steep steps. Her friend Spoorthi urges a more accessible choice, leading the school to switch to the disabled-friendly Indian Music Experience Centre. The film shows that thoughtful planning ensures everyone can participate and feel respected.
